Welcome to Frome Birding. A new that site hopes to provide information on the latest
sightings, locations and news relating to birding in and around the Frome area and in
a small way, the southwest. The site will be updated as often possible. I hope you enjoy

Although Frome does not have a major reserve on it's
doorstep, there are still many places for birdwatching..

A bit of recent History...

2005 was a good year for Waxwings and Frome had its moment.
In May at least 100+ Waxwings were to be seen at Frome station
(presumably not trying to get a train or no doubt they would still be
there for us to see today!) and 100+ the following day in a private garden.

It seems so far the rowan crop in North Eastern Europe has been good
and reports of Waxwings few and far between Or do you know different...
